Introduction

Alora helps you track attendance in your classes, generate powerful reports, and collaborate with your co-workers. This quick guide will help you to get started. Usually, it takes from 5 to 15 minutes, depending on the number of students you have.

Add Students

If you have more than 15 students, you may want to import them using the CSV template HERE (iOS only). Also, you may import students from your contacts using the “Contacts” button at the top.

  1. Go to the “Students” section and press the “Add Students” button.
  2. Fill out First and Last name fields. Then press the “Add” button. Repeat this step for each of your students.
  3. Optional: Add additional information by tapping on the “i” button next to each student.
  4. Press the “Save” button when you are done.

Create Classes

  1. Go to the “Classes” section and press the “Create Class” button.
  2. Fill out the Class name field.
  3. Select Weekdays for your class. Based on this selection, this class will appear on the calendar in the “Attendance” section.
  4. Optional: Assign students to the class by tapping on the Class Students field. It is helpful if you have the same students attending your class. Next time when you take attendance, this student list will be pre-populated for your convenience.
  5. Press the “Save” button when you are done.

Take Attendance

If you assigned students to the class, they are automatically pre-populated each time you take attendance for this class. You may skip step 2 in this case.

  1. Go to the “Attendance” section. Choose a date and tap on the class you want to take attendance for.
  2. Pick students by tapping on the search field. Choose each student who should be in the class and press “Done” when you finish. You will see a list of students with attendance marks next to them.
  3. Tap on a student to change attendance mark or press “***” button to choose additional attendance marks.
  4. Press the “Save” button when you finish taking attendance.

Congratulations! You’ve finished onboarding and learned the basics.
